Shakepeare's Romeo and Juliet brings thousands of visitors to Verona each year, however, there’s a lot more to Verona than just the tragic love story of this young couple.

After Venice, Verona is the second biggest city in the Veneto region, and one of the most prosperous in northern Italy. Within its historical centre, there are many magnificent and well preserved Roman ruins whose quality is second only to Rome.

The massive Roman Arena which is used for major events and Piazza Erbe with its busy and colourful market are Verona’s two main focal points, but there's a lot more to see and do on your Verona holiday.
